Avalon S32

I managed to get an endorsement from Jim and the guys at Avalon for this hand made beauty, which is such a privilege.

When the Dudley Outpouring broke, we went into a season of doing meetings every night, for about 3 months. Worship was a key part of this move of God, many miracles and life-changing moments happened for people while they were worshipping. I was looking for a lighter guitar and one whose tone could cut through a full band mix, but without being too harsh. Loads of worship leaders use Avalon Guitars these days, and I thought it would be cool to have one. When a friend of mine, Jason Macgeehan, said he might be able to get me an endorsement because of all the exposure the Outpouring, I realised my dreams could become a reality!

I chose the S32 because of its shape - small, tight body but which is also really deep, so it still has all the great warmth and projection even with its small size. It has a Fishman Infinity pickup with thumb wheel controls in the sound hole, meaning there's no ugly extra cuts in the Indian rosewood sides. My favourite top - spruce - I like its brightness. With a set of 10's and a great PA, a can't think of a better acoustic... yet!
